In school, kids often get a very clinical, binary presentation of anatomy; they don’t learn about everyone’s experiences of puberty (yes, those whose voices may ever crack should still learn about changing vocal chords); and they may come away worried, with more questions than they got answered. In this workshop, we’ll go into a nuanced review of reproductive anatomy (female, male, intersex) and puberty (all experiences), including understanding why bodies and emotions can feel out of control, learning practical ways to manage puberty’s symptoms, and celebrating the process as a rite of passage.
