“How to Have the TalkS” – A Presentation by Lo Sharkey for the Parents, Caregivers, Teachers and Trusted Adults of the Brooklyn Prospect Charter School

Relationship literacy is not innate; it is taught and learned. And that education has to start early, be age-appropriate, and continue throughout one’s life. Lo will give you research-backed tips for becoming confident relational educators in your own home! Topics will include:

• Why we call it “relational education”
• Why kids need & deserve better relational education
• Talking to kids at different ages
• Puberty, Gender, Orientation, Safer Sex, Consent & Tech Smarts
• Recommended Resources
