Intro to Relational Ed
An introductory series for upper elementary school kids to anatomy, puberty, consent and communication — without the cringe.

WHY?

Want to start instilling bodily knowledge and autonomy in your kids but don’t know where to start? Butterfly Academy to the rescue! This week-long, half-day, all-genders course is the perfect introduction to relational education with fun activities and engaging discussions, creating a great foundation for healthy bodies and respectful minds. (NO discussions of interpersonal sexual activity, contraception, STIs, or pornography in this foundational class.)

WHO IS IT FOR?

Upper elementary/new middle schoolers who’ve been vaccinated & boosted. All genders.

WHAT WILL WE COVER?

  • Anatomy 
  • Puberty
  • Reproduction
  • CONSENT & Good Communication
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Gender  (identity, expression, stereotypes, etc)

WHEN & WHERE?

This series is typically run like a camp, consisting of five 3-hour sessions (each with a snack break) over five consecutive days. Locations vary.
